I came to this late, and on purpose.

How I got here
For sixteen years I worked in human resources, for large multinationals and brands you would recognise. It was a good career and I was ambitious about it.
What changed it was watching someone I love go through a terminal illness, and finding how little I could actually do. That is a specific kind of helplessness, and it does not leave you.
So I left the security of the job and went back to study properly — the advanced diploma first, then the full Bachelor of Health Science in naturopathy. Not a weekend course. Four years of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, botanical medicine and clinical practice, plus supervised clinic hours seeing real patients.
Coming to it as an adult with a previous career changed how I practise. I am not romantic about natural medicine, and I have no interest in being anti-doctor. I want to know what is actually driving someone’s problem, and then treat that with the tools that have the best evidence behind them.
How I work
What you can expect from me, in practice.
Long first appointments
Seventy-five to ninety minutes, because a real history takes that long and a rushed one produces a guess.
No programs
Every plan is built for the person in front of me. I do not run packages and I do not have a protocol I put everyone through.
Alongside your doctor, not instead
I will never ask you to stop prescribed medication, and I check everything I prescribe for interactions.
I will tell you if I can’t help
If something needs a GP or a specialist, or if naturopathy is not the right tool, you will hear that from me early.
