What I help with

Immune and respiratory

There is a difference between bad luck and a pattern. If you have had five infections this winter and everyone around you had one, or your sinuses have not properly cleared since a cold two years ago, that is a pattern and it is worth looking at.

This might sound familiar

If two or three of these land, it is worth a conversation.

  • Every cold in the house finds you, and stays twice as long
  • Sinus congestion that never fully clears between infections
  • Hay fever that now runs most of the year rather than one season
  • Courses of antibiotics that work, until the next one
  • An autoimmune diagnosis, and a long wait between specialist appointments

What I look at

The first consultation works through all of this.

What the pattern is
Which infections, how often, what time of year, and what was happening in your life when the pattern started. Recurrent infection almost always has a context.
Iron, zinc and vitamin D
The three that most commonly sit low in people who keep getting sick, and the three most worth measuring properly rather than guessing.
The gut
A large share of immune tissue sits around the digestive tract. Where digestion is poor, immune function usually follows.
Sleep and stress load
Sustained stress and short sleep measurably suppress immune response. This is often the part nobody has addressed.

How I treat it

Immune-supporting and anti-catarrhal herbs, with a distinction between what is used during an acute infection and what is used between them to change the pattern. Correcting zinc, iron and vitamin D where they are genuinely low. For chronic sinus congestion, addressing the inflammation and mucous membrane state rather than just clearing the latest infection.

What to expect, and when

The aim is fewer and shorter infections over a season, not never getting sick. Give it a full season to judge. Autoimmune conditions are managed alongside your specialist — I support the background terrain, I do not replace their treatment.

Everything above is how I generally approach this area. What you actually get is decided in your consultation, on your case — not from a page.
